I SURVIVED my 1st ever Wedding Show

It is crazy that it has been almost 2 months since I have started Creative Memories by Dana. It has been a huge eye-opener and fun! I am truly enjoying networking with others to learn their businesses and what I can offer future clients. While I was thinking of ways to get my business out there for others to know, I joined the Alley Park Wedding Show on Saturday, February 22nd.

A couple of weeks before the show, I started buying flowers, decorations and etc. to make my booth stand out for potential brides. With the show being at Alley Park, the lodge was nestled back in the woods, I wanted my table (booth) to have that rustic feel to it. I thought it turned out very pretty and elegant. I want to say that potential clients and friends walked by and thought the same thing.

As I was setting up, my nerves were shaking like a fig leaf in a windstorm, my husband said you will be great, do not worry. He was right, it was natural but I know I have work to do to make myself stand out. It was my first show and I was a little less informative than I wanted to be. I will work on a better way to explain what I do and I will work with potential brides better. While I was doing the show, I noticed that I really enjoy event designing, so I have added this feature to my business as well. I love being creative, planning and helping others.

As most of you don't know, I am hosting a Fairfield County wide Wedding Soiree next year to help bring all of the vendors/venues to showcase their business for future businesses with brides/clients. That will be taking place on Saturday, January 30th at the Ed Sands Building at the Fairfield County Fairgrounds. I am so excited about this venture!
